Time: 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Location: Stedman Center Auditorium in the Duke Center for Living Campus (3475 Erwin Road, Durham, NC 27705)

On Tuesday, June 13th, Tyler Cope, ATC, DPT,  Sports Physical Therapist from Duke Sports Medicine will be offering Fever families a presentation, followed by a Q & A at the Stedman Center Auditorium from 6-7:30 PM.  The presentation will address: Common Training Errors, Lacrosse-specific Injuries, and General Prevention & Rehab.  Tyler will address how best to engage medical staff such as athletic trainers (ATC), reporting injury and working towards coordinated recovery. It is designed to be highly interactive with lots of Q & A! Given the issues surrounding concussion, ACL (knee) injury, and overuse injuries, this is an event we are offering to help dispel myths and arm you (and your daughters!) with critical information for this season– and beyond.

L.I.T. WINTER OUTDOOR SUNDAY SESSIONS // $240 (HS – includes 8th; MS – 5th-7th)

Date: TBA (Sundays)
Locations: Raleigh / Chapel Hill (Sites TBA)

Sessions will cover conditioning, stick work, and small space drills and skills. These sessions are designed for the serious player who wants to develop her skills in preparation for the spring season. The Sunday L.I.T. outdoor sessions are in their 6th year and have grown in popularity every year. These are the original training sessions to prepare players for their upcoming tryouts (high school and travel) and spring season. These are the largest and most popular training sessions for girls in our area which allow us to include small sided play during each session.

Fever serves the needs of youth, middle school and high school players in North Carolina who seek top-tier competition and exceptional instruction from former players and coaches. In the years since it was founded, Fever has sent athletes to play at the Division I, II and III levels, and has established itself as a program to watch among college coaches.

The Fever philosophy is grounded in the idea that in order to become great lacrosse players, great athletes must have access to great coaching and training. This success of the program is in large part, a product of the remarkable Fever coaching staff, all of whom have experience at the elite level as a player, as a coach or in many cases both.

Tryouts for any open roster spots are held twice annually, once in late August or early September (for the fall travel season) and again in January (for the summer). The number of open spots on each team is posted when tryout registration opens. We strongly encourage players with a passion for the sport to join us for tryouts and check out the open training options available through WinWinSports. If you would like to receive notification of tryouts, subscribe here.

Note: All Fever players who play during the fall season are still required to stand for selection again should they wish to play for the next season.

We will be hosting tryouts for any open spots on the 2017 Fall Fever rosters in late August or early September. We will post the number of spots available per team in July. Players who make the team for the fall season are still required to stand for selection again in January should they wish to join us for the 2018 season (this is required of all returning Fever players).
